Inclusive Teaching Practices Guide

The Education Quality Standards (EQS) are state policies that reflect what we believe schools in Vermont should be and offer to our students. These standards are currently being revised to be more equitable and inclusive by the Act 1 Working Group. They then need to be approved by the State Board of Education.

This guide to the updated Teaching Practices section of the EQS includes practical examples from teachers and students around Vermont. Thank you to all the educators who submitted their work to share, members of the Education Justice Coalition Edu Organizing Committee, Christie Nold for her leadership, and Al Johnson-Kurts for the design.
